AMGEN Tour of California

The Amgen Tour of California will return to the Santa Barbara South Coast! This marks the ninth time — and the sixth year in a row — the Santa Barbara region has hosted the seven-stage, 600-mile tour, which begins May 13 in Long Beach and concludes May 19 in Sacramento. The Santa Barbara County finish will take place along the iconic Gibraltar Road.

For seven days, some of the world’s top professional cycling teams will compete in a challenging course that includes nearly 700 miles of scenic California highways and roadways. Participants of this year’s race includes three of the sport’s greatest : Mark Cavendish (Team Dimension Data), Marcel Kittel (Team KATUSHA ALPECIN) and “King of California” Peter Sagan (BORA-hansgrohe), cycling’s first three-time consecutive World Champion, who also holds the California race record for most stage wins (16).
