Arabians are one of the equine world's most interesting breeds. The firey, beautiful horses will stampede Earl Warren Showgrounds en masse this week giving and exhibitors a chance to buy, sell and experience the four-legged materpieces.

Westmont’s powerful Keck Telescope will focus on a planetary nebula known as the Blue Snowball (NGC 7662) during the monthly viewing of the stars, Friday Oct.19. The free event is held every third friday of the month in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit and begins after 6:30 p.m. and lasts several hours. TELESCOPE TO FOCUS ON RINGED PLANET SATURN

The ringed planet Saturn, sitting in the nearby constellation of Virgo, will be one of the focal points of a free, public viewing Friday, June 21, beginning at about 8 p.m. at the Westmont Observatory. The observatory opens its doors to the public every third Friday of the month in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit, whose members bring their own telescopes to Westmont for the public to gaze through.
