Arabians are one of the equine world's most interesting breeds. The firey, beautiful horses will stampede Earl Warren Showgrounds en masse this week giving and exhibitors a chance to buy, sell and experience the four-legged materpieces. 

This year's topics will include everything from bears to fennel, sustainable building and artful landscaping, to vanishing wild lands and a pictorial history of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. 

Westmont’s powerful Keck Telescope will focus on a planetary nebula known as the Blue Snowball (NGC 7662) during the monthly viewing of the stars, Friday Oct.19. The ringed planet Saturn, sitting in the nearby constellation of Virgo, will be one of the focal points of a free, public viewing Friday, June 21, beginning at about 8 p.m. at the Westmont Observatory.
